And yes, real sterling silver can tarnish. It doesn't mean your jewelry is ruined or poor quality. Tarnish is a natural reaction that happens over time and can usually be polished away.

How to Layer Your Pearls
There aren't many rules around here.
Mix different pearl sizes. Pair short strands with longer ones. Add a pendant. Throw turquoise into the mix. Wear one strand today and five tomorow.
If you're not sure where to start, try choosing three different lengths with a little space between each. Mixing pearl sizes and stones adds even more dimension.

A gentle sterling silver polishing cloth is usually all you need to bring back the shine.
Avoid harsh cleaners or abrasive materials unless the care instructions for your specific piece say otherwise, especially when a piece includes turquoise, stones, or other materials that may require different care.
